The Village
O Vilarejo
Colorful illustrations with elements of gothic horror and suspense bring this collection of short stories to life.
In 1589, priest and demonologist Peter Binsfeld assigned each of the Seven Deadly Sins to a demon, supposedly responsible for invoking that particular evil in humans. Using Binsfield’s theory as his groundwork, Raphael Montes has written seven stories set in an isolated village marred by snow and famine, depicting its gradual decimation alongside the degradation of its inhabitants.
The stories can be read in any order, but their narratives are intricately interconnected: upon completion, they converge to a single shocking conclusion.
