Across the Atlantic, on the East Coast of the United States, Olivia is conducting research at the Pasteur Institute. But when a radical government begins silencing scientists and dismantling the institutions meant to protect them, Olivia is drawn into an underground secret resistance movement.
Overnight, Olivia’s world collapses: she is arrested and taken to an ICE detention camp. Left for dead, she begins to lose all hope.
