
Laura Mamelok
Originally from New York, Laura Mamelok is French-American and lived for several years in Paris. She studied Comparative Literature and Film at Barnard College and has master’s degrees from Columbia University and the University of Paris 7. Laura started her publishing career in scouting at Maria B. Campbell Associates in New York before joining Susanna Lea Associates in 2009, where she worked in the agency’s Paris and New York offices for almost a decade. In 2018 she moved to the publishing-house side as Subsidiary Rights Director for Little, Brown and Company (Hachette Book Group). She returned to SLA in Fall 2025 as VP, overseeing rights between New York and Paris offices along with building her own list. Laura is bilingual in French and English and proficient in Spanish.
