Pierre Solot

Pierre Solot–pianist, musicologist, lecturer, and columnist–is at the forefront of the French-speaking musical scene. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and the EHESS in Paris, and a commentator for the Queen Elisabeth Competition, he has spent his career developing an original body of thought on how art and music shape our relationship with the world. His lectures, concerts, radio programs, and media appearances have earned him the reputation of being able to make even the most demanding works widely accessible, without resorting to oversimplification.

In his debut novel Le Temps de Nina, Solot reveals another facet of his artistry: that of a novelist, capable of transforming his knowledge of music into a story that is luminous, sensitive, and profoundly human.
