Donna Stangeland
Donna Stangeland is a retired detective from the Seattle Police Department. Although she ended her career in the Homicide Unit, her longest assignment was in the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit, where she investigated rapes and sexual assaults against adults, and physical and sexual abuse against children. This work made its way into her heart, and Donna is passionate about working to prevent domestic violence, sexually motivated crimes, and child abuse. In retirement, Donna educates the public about prevention strategies through her writing and speaking engagements. Other interests include family time, hiking, “try, try again” gardening, and acting as concierge for two very spoiled dogs.
