Storm Announces New Contemporary Cosy Series by Pam Lecky

We are so excited to announce that Storm Publishing has acquired a brand new cosy crime series by Pam Lecky, The Wild Atlantic Murders Series, with the first title of the series, The Clew Bay Detectives, set to publish in June 2026.

The multi-book deal was negotiated by Kathryn Taussig, and includes three books in the series across ebook, paperback and audio formats.

Set in the fictional village of Glenfinn near Westport along the Wild Atlantic Way in County Mayo, Ireland, the series follows Ali Brennan, a landscape gardener with a surprising talent for solving crimes. When the body of a wealthy businessman is discovered on a remote island in Clew Bay, Ali and her hapless nephew Gavin are drawn into the complex mystery surrounding his murder.

About the deal, Pam Lecky said:

“I’m thrilled to share the news that my new contemporary crime series, The Wild Atlantic Murders, has found a home with Storm Publishing. Having had the pleasure of working with my editor, Kathryn Taussig, for the past few years, I know these stories couldn’t be in better hands. Huge thanks also to my wonderful agent, Thérèse Coen at Susanna Lea & Associates, London, for making this deal happen.

With strong family roots in County Mayo, Ireland, it felt only natural to set the series along the stunning Wild Atlantic Way. The books take place in the fictional village of Glenfinn, near Westport, and follow landscaper and amateur sleuth Ali Brennan as she navigates the world of crime with the help of her nephew, Gavin. Across the series, readers will meet a cast of recurring characters and encounter stories that delve into serious themes while reflecting life in modern Ireland.”

And Kathryn Taussig adds praise for the series:

“Pam has created something really special with these books. Ali Brennan is a wonderfully authentic protagonist – capable, warm and credible – and the Irish setting along the Wild Atlantic Way provides a stunning and atmospheric backdrop for the mystery. With its blend of humour, intrigue and a few twists and turns along the way, this series has all the ingredients to resonate with cosy mystery enthusiasts everywhere.”
