German Pre-Empt for Icelandic Crime Debut, “Freyja”

A German pre-empt has been closed with Goldmann Verlag for the Icelandic debut thriller Freyja by Margrét Ann Thors, handled on behalf of Spiegel and Grau.

Freyja is a stunning, suspenseful crime debut, which explores themes such as motherhood, legend, guilt, and memory, and is perfect for readers of Liz Moore, Celeste Ng, Amity Gaige, and Emily Fridlund. S&G will be publishing in the US in August 2026.
